How This Tool Works
The tool encodes your network into the standard WIFI: payload (for example WIFI:T:WPA;S:MyNetwork;P:secret;H:false;;). When a phone camera or the iOS/Android WiFi settings scans the code, the join-network dialog opens with your SSID and password pre-filled — including special characters, which are escaped exactly as the specification requires. Everything is generated locally in your browser; your password is never sent to any server.

Which phones can scan a WiFi QR code?
iPhone (iOS 11+) and most Android phones open a join-network prompt directly from the camera app. On older Android devices you can scan from inside WiFi settings using the QR scan option.
Does the QR code expose my password?
Yes — the password is encoded inside the QR code, so anyone who scans it can join. Only share it with people you trust, and treat a printed WiFi QR code like a written password.
Does it work with special characters in the SSID or password?
Yes. Characters such as \ ; , : and " are escaped according to the WIFI QR specification, so networks with spaces, emojis, or symbols in the name connect correctly.
Can I create a code for a hidden network?
Yes. Enable "This network is hidden" and the H:true flag is added to the payload so scanning devices know to search for a hidden SSID.
What is the difference between PNG and SVG?
PNG is a fixed-resolution image that prints well at label sizes. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size — ideal for large posters or professional printing.
