What This Tool Does
This tool turns plain text into a blurred SVG card directly in your browser. It is useful when you want a clean spoiler block, partially hidden quote, or redacted-looking mockup without editing an image in another app.
Common Use Cases
- Create spoiler previews for product launches, article screenshots, and social teasers.
- Mock up private data states in design files without exposing the original text.
- Generate blurred text cards for presentations, walkthroughs, and UX examples.
Blurred Text Generator FAQ
Is the text processed on a server?
No. The blur preview and SVG export are created entirely in your browser.
Can I download the result?
Yes. You can export the generated preview as an SVG file for further use.
Is this secure redaction?
No. This is a visual blur effect for screenshots and mockups, not a guaranteed redaction method for sensitive documents.
Can I tune the look?
Yes. You can change blur strength, font size, spacing, and theme before downloading.
How many characters can I blur at once?
Cards handle up to about 500 characters comfortably at a 1080-pixel width; beyond that, fonts shrink below 14px to fit. For longer passages, split the text across multiple cards or trim it down to key phrases before blurring.
Can I turn the SVG into a PNG or JPG?
Yes. Open the downloaded SVG in Figma, Inkscape, or any browser and export it at your target resolution, such as 1200x630 for link previews. Because SVG is vector-based, PNG exports stay sharp at 2x or 3x scale.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, it runs in any modern mobile browser, including Safari on iOS 15+ and Chrome on Android 10+. The SVG saves straight to your Files or Downloads folder, and no app installation or account is required.
Is there a watermark or usage limit?
No. Every export is watermark-free and unlimited, and the generated SVG is fully yours to use in client mockups, tutorials, or social posts. There is no sign-up and no daily cap on how many cards you create.
